Matt, a little nitpicking grammar-police observation, if you don't mind, for you to act on or ignore as you wish: "polls say" is not a use of the passive voice ("it is said..."), as I'm sure you know, but still wrote in paragraph 22. You might want to change this. I'm enjoying the work, it's a great concept. Thanks!

I remember stories about Karl Rove hoping that Howard Dean would get the Democratic nomination in 2004 due to his supposedly unelectable views on the Iraq War and gay marriage. There might have even been reporting on Karl Rove chanting "Dean, Dean" while at a parade.
