Subscribe now and get full access to the book, The Business Secrets of Drug Dealing, as well as continued access to other serial projects and literary oddities of the sort I could never publish before. My new Substack project is Hate Inc.: How, And Why, The Press Makes Us Hate One Another.
Twenty years ago someone asked me what I wanted to accomplish in my life. I said I wanted to be the great pain in the ass of American history. I think there’s still time. But I need your help.
For most of the last fifteen years I’ve been writing online and in print for Rolling Stone magazine. I’ve also written books for Spiegel and Grau, a Penguin/Random House imprint, including four New York Times bestsellers.
I’m still going to write for Rolling Stone and will still write books. But there are some projects I’ve never been able to do that, with your help, I hope now to finish.
What you will get:
This will be the place where I will publish everything I’ve always wanted to write, but could not get permission to do: from serialized books to journalism to creative writing to contests and giveaways to pranks.
The first two books you will get will be The Business Secrets of Drug-Dealing: Adventures of the Unidentified Black Male and Hate Inc.: How, And Why, The Press Makes Us Hate One Another.
Down the road there will be other serial projects, interspersed with podcasts, interviews, and literary oddities of the sort I could never publish before.
